Useful Windows Utility: allSnap

One thing I love about KDE is its default snapping behavior for all desktop windows. When I go back onto my work laptop (Windows) I miss this simple feature.

A fellow Toronto developer, Ivan Heckman from U of T, has created a great free utility that mimics this behavior in Windows. Check it out here.

So what's your favorite free Windows utility?

[Thanks Ivan!]

Tom Wilson's Gravatar Ok, Here we go!

http://www.codesector.com/teracopy.php
- Tera Copy replaces the default windows copy.
- It's great because you can see the status for each file. All pending files, the transfer speed and they claim it's faster!

- Group rename, you can find and replace with wildcards ect. very helpful

http://www.minimize-to-tray.com/
- The name says it all, you can minimize any program to your sys tray

- Taskbar shuffle groups similar task bars beside each other (Not together like default windows). Also allows drag and drop to change the order. AND you can middle mouse button click the taskbar item to close it like you would a tab in Firefox. Neat!

Unlocker tries to unlock files that won't let you delete them if they say they are in use (Even when you know they aren't) and other similar situations. It's a must.

These basically get me through the day until I get home to my nice and clean, perfectly tailored gnome environment.
