RIP: ColdFusion Developer's Journal
If you can get through the pop-ups and a FireFox crash or two, there's an announcement from SYS-CON that the ColdFusion Developer's Journal (CFDJ) will be discontinued in favor of (get this) the SilverLight Developer's Journal.

Several people have blogged about this, and I happen to agree with their sentiments about the operation.
I think I like Sean's the best:

I too have been a victim of their spam despite my efforts to get them to stop.
Having contributed an article to this magazine, I was turned off by their arrogance and rude behavior to those that were giving them free content. I was a freelancer at the time and, after writing my article, asked if there was any compensation available for me to write additional articles. I asked several times by email and never got a response. What I did get was repeated email form-letters asking if I'd like to contribute another article.
Ya. Right.
Here's a much better option if you're interested in keeping up with the CF community:

The best irony is that with Sys-Con syndicating my blog (without permission) and claiming I'm a CFDJ author, my post about CFDJ being dead is front page on... CFDJ! It is also listed as the top "new blog entry" on pretty much every page. Lovely.
